I co-founded the Condor Camp Programme, a 10-day AI Safety introductory programme. Now in its third edition, the Condor Camp has evolved into a prestigious retreat, focusing on AI Safety, with each edition held in a different global location. Beginning in Cusco, Peru, followed by Oxford, UK, and most recently in Mexico City, the programme continues to attract top-tier students from renowned Brazilian universities.
As co-founder, in addition to co-designing and implementing the curriculum, I spearheaded the logistical planning and program development of the course. Leveraging my role as a co-founder, I successfully secured funding from philanthropic organizations for the Condor Camp, ensuring that it not only came to fruition but also remained cost-free for selected students. Furthermore, following the success of the inaugural edition, we secured funding to establish a dedicated organization, now known as the Condor Initiative.
In my role at the Condor Initiative, a non-profit organization bridging Brazilian university students with existential risks (x-risks), I have played a crucial role in identifying, connecting, and guiding both talented individuals and organizations focused on talent development toward areas of critical importance. In addition to coordinating talent outreach and development, I played a crucial role in operations at the Condor Initiative. My leadership was instrumental in orchestrating a diverse array of events from multi-day hackathons to team retreats, showcasing my ability to manage both complex logistics and broad-scale team coordination. This role requires a deep understanding of operational excellence and strategic planning, ensuring the alignment of our activities with the overarching mission of talent development in critical areas.
At WARP 2022 (Winter Applied Rationality Program), a 10-day immersive 'applied rationality' camp for mathematically talented and gifted high-school students, I served as a Junior Counselor, where my responsibilities included guiding students through the program, teaching classes on rationality and facilitating communication between students and teachers, ensuring that individual needs were met for an enriching experience. This program, inspired by the model of ESPR/SPARC, emphasizes rationality skills, helping students understand themselves and the world around them more effectively.
Co-led the planning and execution of the Altruísmo Eficaz Brasil Summit 2024, a national conference focused on high-impact cause areas. Responsibilities included program design, and logistical coordination to support strategic community-building and idea exchange among Brazilian EA leaders and newcomers
